Kigali, Rwanda, October 2015
Students at the University of Rwanda got hands-on experience covering the Southern African Broadcasting Association conference in Kigali. For many it was the first time putting into practice what they had learned in the classroom. They produced storiers for television, radio, print and social media.

INTERNATIONAL VISITOR LEADERSHIP GROUP
The State Department sponsors the International Visitor Leadership Group program that brings journalists from other countries to the United States to learn about how American journalists do their jobs. While Bob Butler was President of the National Association of Black Journalists, eight journalists from Pakistan met with Bob and National Association of Hispanic Journalists Bay Area President Vicki Adame.
